Leading conversations on sexual health and reproduction, Intimacy Masters, a family-oriented organisation is set to hold ‘The Sex Conference’ in Lagos. With the theme ‘Embracing Sexual Knowledge, Wellness and Empowerment’, the conference is billed to hold on July 20, at the Ballroom, Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

The conference aims at fostering open dialogue, promoting sexual wellness, and empowering individuals with the tools needed to navigate their sexual journey with confidence. The Sex Conference is set to feature an exceptional group of refined speakers, as well as key debates and presentations.

Dedicated Sexual Assault referral practitioner and founder, the Intimacy Masters, Jessica Sampson, revealed that the conference is a much-needed eye-opener on sexual health and wellness, aiming to equip attendees with adequate information to make the proper choices.
“The sex conference is a deliberate effort to bring to light uncommon conversations about sexual health in Nigeria, aiming at informing society with the right messaging about knowledge, wellness, and sexual empowerment. When people are better informed, they make better decisions,” she said.

She added that the various speakers at the Conference would be offering a wide range of perspectives, particularly on subject areas that have traditionally been deemed ‘gray areas’ by society. “We will be having 15 speakers, including panelists, addressing key topics such as sexual mindset, marriage, sex and children, erectile dysfunction, low performance in men, sex after 40, and more. The objectives is to normalise sexual conversations that have been considered a taboo, to teach and learn better ways to accept sex-positive living as a natural part of being human,” Sampson added.

Sampson who is also a deputy Superintendent of Police and licensed clinical sexologist stated that given the sensitive nature of the topic of sex and sexual wellness, it is important to continue to have vital conversations. She also noted that the Intimacy Masters would stay committed to its goal of standing out as the global leading voice on sex and positive living.

“We aim to attract national and international bodies, agencies, and organisations to make this an annual impact conference. Sex is a broad topic that affects many aspects of our lives and is linked to our overall well-being,” she said. The conference is targeted at couples, parents, eligible singles, guardians and counselors, religious organisations, and aspiring sex educators.
