Rema’s Raves & Roses surpasses 100 weeks on Billboard 200 chart

The debut studio album, Rave & Roses, by singer Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema, has become the second longest-charting Nigerian album in history, placing him second behind Wizkid’s Made In Lagos, which has spent 133 weeks on the chart.

Released on March 25, 2022 via Jonzing World and Mavin Records, and boosted by the success of his mega-hit single, Calm Down, the album has continued to enjoy success in the United States, where it has now surpassed over 100 weeks on the Billboard 200 Global Chart.

The latest feat sees him add to the several records he has set with Calm Down, including the Guinness World Record for being the first ever No. 1 song on the MENA chart. The song has particularly enjoyed success in the United States where it recorded the highest peak (No.3) for a song by a Nigerian artiste on the Billboard Hot 100 and the longest charting song (over 52 weeks) by a Nigerian artiste on the chart.

In another landmark feat, his mega-hit single Calm Down has now surpassed two billion streams on Spotify making it by far the most streamed song by an African artist on the platform. The two billion mark was achieved by both versions of the singles with the original surpassing 590 million streams, and the Selena Gomez remix crossing 1.410 billion streams in what is a monumental feat.
