The cause of death for pornstar Jesse Jane has been revealed. The 43-year-old actress, whose real name was Cindy Howell, died in January alongside her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller, in their Oklahoma home.
According to the Oklahoma City Medical Examiner’s Office, Jane’s death was due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl and cocaine. The couple was discovered after police responded to a welfare check requested by Hasenmueller’s employer, who had not heard from him in several days.
Jane gained fame in the adult film industry after signing with Digital Playground and starring in several high-budget productions, including “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge.”Jesse announced her retirement from the adult industry in 2017 but two years later, it was revealed she was going to make a return to the industry. Jesse is survived by her son.

Away from the world of adult entertainment, Jesse made appearances in some huge blockbuster films like Starsky & Hutch and had a guest role on Entourage. Jesse also took part in the CNBC documentary Porn: Business of Pleasure in 2009, which showed her life away from the cameras.
She was born on July 16, 1980, in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with honours from Moore High School in 1998. Before getting into the industry, the Gazette reported that Jesse modelled for retailers like 5-7-9 and David’s Bridal before landing a job at Hooters for a commercial.
