Police in Abuja arrest alleged dealer in human body parts

Operatives of the FCT Police Command have arrested a suspected dealer in human body parts.

Spokesperson for the command, SP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the arrest, noted that detectives attached to Iddo police division on July 9, at about 9:00 p.m., acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested one Nuhu Ezra of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja.

She said the suspect, who was found with a human skull and bones, claimed, upon interrogation, that he picked them from the bush while hunting in Kuje and had planned to sell them for N600,000.

The Commissioner of Police, FCT, Benneth Igweh, ordered that a thorough investigation be conducted to ascertain the intended buyer, whether the suspect killed anyone, and how long he had been in the business.
