A group in Edo State, Owan Conscience, will host the candidates of the three major political parties, in the September 21 guber election in Edo State to a debate on Saturday, July 13.
The debate “Political Dialogue with Owan Nation” is expected to be attended by the candidates the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Monday Okpebholo, Labour Party (LP) Olumide Akpata and Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The event scheduled at Sabongida-Ora, the headquarters of Owan West Local Government, will begin at 10:00 am. Chairman of the organizing committee and former chairman of Owan West Local Government, Richard Ofen-Imu, said the event would be a question-and-answer session for residents to know their plans for the state.
Ofen-Imu explained that the event would help the candidates understand the plight of the Owan people.
