From Terhemba Daka, Abuja Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) declared, yesterday, it received more loan applications from institutions in the northern part of the country. The Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, while briefing newsmen at the State House, Abuja after the launch of NELFUND by President Bola Tinubu, attributed the development from northern institutions to what he described as “their proactive approach and effective networking.” The NELFUND boss, however, revealed a growing awareness and interest in the southern regions, despite the initial skepticism about the genuineness of the programme.
